Who are the members of the AMPCo Board who made these decisions?

Mr Richard Allely (Chairman)

Mr Allely’s profile can be found at https://au.linkedin.com/pub/richard-allely/7b/910/407 . He was appointed Chair of AMPCo in June 2014. He holds directorship positions with the Professional Golfers Association of Australia and Source Financial Inc. In the past, he has held several senior positions including CEO/Managing Director of PMP Ltd ( a print and distribution company of catalogues, magazines and marketing materials), Group General Manager Finance of Fairfax Media, and Manager Planning and Business Development at James Hardie Australia.

Mr Rowan Dean

Rowan Dean is described at Linked -in as political satirist and marketing columnist at the Australian Financial Review since January 2012 (recently relinquished). He was appointed Editor of The Spectator Australia in July 2014 (see http://mumbrella.com.au/rowan-dean-end-afr-marketing-column-appointed-editor-spectator-240973). He served as Executive Creative Director of Euro RSCG where he was responsible for the quality of the creative advertising. From June 2006 – October 2010 he was Director of Rowan Dean Films.

Dr Elizabeth Feeney

Elizabeth Feeney is a Sydney-based anaesthetist who has served as President of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. She has served on the Federal Executive of the Australian Medical Association and as the Federal Treasurer of the AMA. She is currently Chair of the AMA Board  and the AMA representative on the Transparency Working Group of Medicines Australia.

Dr Steve Hambleton

Steve Hambleton is the immediate Past-President of the Australian Medical Association. He is a Brisbane-based general practitioner. He was President of AMA Queensland in 2005-6 and has served on the National Immunisation Committee, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, the AMA Taskforce on Indigenous Health (Chair from 2009 to 2014) and the Australian National Preventive Health Agency’s Expert Committee on Alcohol from 2011 – 2014. He was appointed Chair of the National E-Health Transition Authority in June 2014 and joined the Board of Avant Mutual Group Limited in November 2014.

Ms Anne Trimmer (ex-officio)

Anne Trimmer succeeded Mr Francis Sullivan as CEO of the Australian Medical Association in May 2013. She was previously the Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA).  Prior to joining the MTAA, she had an extensive career in the legal profession, practising law as a commercial partner of a major Australian law firm. She has held several leadership positions in professional and educational bodies, including a period as President of the Law Council of Australia, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Canberra, and Chair of the Australian Government’s Advisory Council on Intellectual Property.
